FAQ
Do I need to create an account?
No account needed. Just pick your currencies, enter your receiving address, and send. No sign-up, no password, no profile.
How long does an exchange take?
Most swaps complete within 5–30 minutes. It depends on how quickly your deposit confirms on-chain and current network conditions. XMR swaps may take a little longer due to Monero's block time.
What happens after I send?
We watch the blockchain automatically. Once your deposit is confirmed, we execute the swap and send the exchanged amount directly to the address you provided. No action needed on your end.
Can I track my exchange?
Yes. Keep your Order ID — you can use it to check the status at any time. The payment screen also updates automatically as your transaction progresses.
Are the rates live?
Yes. Rates are fetched in real time when you get a quote. The displayed rate reflects current market conditions at that moment.
What is the rate lock period?
Once you confirm a quote, your rate is locked for 30 minutes. Your payment must arrive within that window to receive the quoted rate. If it expires, we'll apply the current market rate at the time we receive your funds.
What fees do you charge?
We charge a small service fee, shown clearly before you confirm. Network fees (miner/gas fees) are also deducted from the amount you receive. There are no hidden charges — what you see is what you get.
Why does the amount I receive look slightly lower than the market rate?
The quoted output already accounts for our service fee and the outgoing network fee. The rate shown is the effective rate after these deductions — no surprises at the end.
Do you require identity verification (KYC)?
For most exchanges, no. Small amounts typically go through with just a quick phone or email code. Larger amounts may require a short document check via our verification partner. After you lock your rate, we'll tell you what's needed — before you send any funds.
Why do you need a code sent to my phone or email?
It's a lightweight check to confirm a real person is making the exchange. We don't store your phone number or email after verification is complete.
What data do you collect?
We collect only what's needed to process your exchange: your receiving wallet address, the currencies and amounts involved, and transaction hashes once confirmed. If verification is required, a contact point (phone or email) is used temporarily and not retained.
Do you store my wallet addresses?
Wallet addresses are recorded as part of the transaction record for operational and compliance purposes. We do not link addresses to personal identities unless a regulated verification step is triggered.
How much should I send?
Send the exact amount shown on the payment screen — not more, not less. Sending a different amount may cause your exchange to be delayed or require manual review.
Can I send from a centralised exchange (Binance, Coinbase, etc.)?
We strongly recommend against it. CEXs may batch transactions, add memos, or send from a different address than expected. Always send from a wallet you control — a hardware wallet, mobile wallet, or desktop wallet.
What network should I use?
Use the network shown for the currency you're sending. For example, USDT should be sent on the correct chain (ERC-20, BEP-20, etc.) as specified. Sending on the wrong network will result in lost funds.
What if I send the wrong amount?
Contact support immediately with your Order ID and transaction hash. We'll review the situation. Underpayments and overpayments are handled case by case — we don't automatically refund or process incorrect amounts.
How do I know the exchange went through?
The status page updates automatically. Once your deposit confirms and the swap executes, you'll see a confirmation with the outgoing transaction hash so you can verify it on a block explorer.
My exchange is taking longer than expected. What should I do?
First, check your deposit transaction on a block explorer to confirm it's been broadcast and confirmed on-chain. If it's confirmed and you've been waiting more than 60 minutes, contact support with your Order ID.
Can I cancel after sending?
Once funds are received and the swap is in progress, cancellation is not possible. If your payment hasn't been detected yet, contact support as soon as possible — we can't guarantee a cancellation but will do what we can.
What happens if my rate expired before my payment arrived?
If your deposit arrives after the 30-minute rate lock expires, we'll apply the live market rate at the time of receipt. You'll receive slightly more or less than originally quoted depending on how the market moved.
Which cryptocurrencies do you support?
We currently support Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Monero (XMR), BNB, USDT, USDC, and Solana (SOL). More pairs are added regularly — check the exchange widget for the current list.
Do you support all trading pairs?
Not every combination is available. The widget will show available pairs when you select your currencies. If a pair isn't listed, it's not currently supported.
Are there minimum or maximum exchange amounts?
Yes. Minimums exist to cover network fees and make the exchange economically viable. Maximums may apply depending on the pair and current liquidity. The widget will show an error if your amount falls outside the accepted range.
I didn't receive my funds. What do I do?
Check the status page using your Order ID. If the status shows completed but funds haven't arrived, verify the receiving address you entered and check the outgoing transaction hash on a block explorer. If something looks wrong, contact support.
I entered the wrong receiving address. Can you fix it?
Contact support immediately with your Order ID. If the swap hasn't executed yet, we may be able to update the address. Once funds have been sent, the transaction is irreversible — always double-check your address before confirming.
How do I contact support?
Use the support link in the footer. Please include your Order ID and a description of the issue. For urgent matters involving funds, include the transaction hash of your deposit.
I got an error during the exchange flow. What should I do?
Refresh the page and try again. If the error persists, note the exact message and your Order ID (if one was assigned) and contact support. Don't send funds if you haven't completed the confirmation step.
Is Fingerblip safe to use?
Yes. We use encrypted connections, don't store sensitive credentials, and process your swap as soon as funds confirm. We don't hold your assets any longer than necessary to complete the exchange.
Do you hold my funds?
Only for the duration of the swap. Your deposit arrives in our processing wallet, the exchange executes, and the output is sent to your address. We're not a custodian — we don't hold funds on your behalf.
Can I trust the address shown on the payment screen?
Yes. The deposit address is generated specifically for your order and is only valid for the duration of the rate lock. Always verify you're on the correct domain before sending — our URL is fingerblip.com.
Are you regulated?
Fingerblip operates in compliance with applicable regulations in the jurisdictions we serve. Depending on the exchange amount, basic verification may be required to meet anti-money laundering obligations. We take compliance seriously without making the experience unnecessarily complex.
